Student Government
At Lorne Park, students are take an interactive role in running the school. These are the commities that a student can be elected to.

Mentors
The Mentors are a group of dedicated enthusiastic and outgoing students from grades 10-OAC. We help grade nines adjust to life at Lorne Park Secondary School. Through an exciting mix of games, workshops and events, we teach our new Spartans about the ins and outs of high school life. Each grade nine home room class is teamed up with a group of mentors, so that we all get to know each other personally, and have a lot of fun at the same time. This is a one-of-a-kind program, unique to Lorne Park Secondary School.

Prefect Society
The Prefect Society of Lorne Park is a group of senior students (grades 11, 12 and OAC) who help out at school functions and aid local charities through fundraising and volunteer work. New prefects are selected in the spring and are required to fill out an application and attend an informal interview.

Student Activity Council (SAC)
The Lorne Park Students Council is the largest organization in the school. It is considered the "Student Government". The SAC is a club devoted to promoting many activities within our school, as well as providing guidance and financial support to other school organizations and clubs. Some events that the SAC runs include: barbecues, spirit days, and the Holiday Assembly. New members are always welcome.
