Welcome to the Lorne Park Secondary School Geography Department.

Geography is for life: life-long, life-sustaining, life-enhancing. Geography enriches by helping humans understand their personal experiences.

The goal of our department is to create geographically-informed students who appreciate the interdependent worlds we live in. These worlds all come together in our lives - school, family, friends, society in general and our future occupations and careers.

The geographical way of looking at the world is broad: it encompasses physical and human dimensions, science and humanities, systematic and regional approaches, environment and society, considerations near and far, local and global, practical and theoretical. It is our hope and aim that we will be able to provide our students with all of these perspectives over the course of their high school years.
